This course satisfies the high school social media literacy instruction requirement (first of two) mandated by NC House Bill 959, signed July 2025. Required in all NC public schools beginning 2026–2027. Topics covered: social media addiction, misinformation, manipulation, permanency of online information, personal security, cyberbullying, predatory behavior, and human trafficking identification.
